Interest Groups and the U.S. Supreme Court

Posted by Lauren Beth LeBato on Feb 14th 2020

This is one of many things i'd like to call the Street Law "nuggets of gold". I always like to add to it myself, using whatever SCOTUS in the classroom case I am focusing on for the semester.
Students are able to better analyze how justices may decide on a case when they know what big interests are being affected. A good brief for this SCOTUS in the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes Inc. v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission case is the massive amici brief filed by 206 businesses including Apple, Facebook, etc. The kids really liked it.
